1 Who We Are #

QuickCalcify ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website quickcalcify.com (the "Site"), a free collection of online calculators for finance, health, math, and everyday tasks.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the Site, how it is used, and the choices available to you. It applies to the Site only, not to any third-party website you reach from it.

2 Your Calculator Data Never Reaches Us #

This is the most important section on the page, so it comes first.

Every calculation on QuickCalcify is performed by JavaScript running inside your own browser. When you enter a salary into the Salary Calculator, a weight into the BMI Calculator, or a loan balance into the Mortgage Calculator, those values are processed on your device and displayed back to you. They are never transmitted to our servers, never written to our database, and never shared with anyone.

We could not retrieve your inputs if we wanted to. There is no server-side record of them, which also means results cannot be recovered after you close or refresh a page.

3 Information We Do Collect #

Like virtually every website, our servers record basic technical information when a page is requested:

• IP address (used for general location and abuse prevention, and anonymized in analytics)
• Browser type and version, and operating system
• The page you requested and the page that referred you
• Date, time, and duration of the visit

We also store information you choose to give us:

• Newsletter email address — only if you submit the subscription form. Used to send occasional updates about new calculators and articles, and nothing else.
• Contact form messages — the message and any contact details you include, used solely to reply to you.
• Calculator ratings — when you rate a tool we store the star value alongside a one-way hash of your IP address, purely to stop the same visitor voting repeatedly. The hash cannot be reversed into an IP address.

4 Preferences Stored on Your Device #

The Site remembers a few choices using your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us:

• Theme — whether you prefer light or dark mode
• Currency — the currency symbol shown in finance calculators
• Cookie consent — which categories of cookies you agreed to

Clearing your browser storage resets these preferences and nothing else.

5 Cookies and Similar Technologies #

We group cookies into three categories:

• Essential — required for the Site to function and to remember your privacy choices. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics — Google Analytics, used to understand which calculators are popular and where pages are slow. Data is aggregated; we do not use it to identify individuals.
• Advertising — used by Google AdSense and its partners to select and measure ads.

Analytics and advertising cookies load only after you consent, and you can change your decision at any time with the Cookie Settings link in the site footer. Our Cookie Policy lists each category in more detail.

6 Advertising (Google AdSense) #

QuickCalcify is free to use and funded by advertising, which is served by Google AdSense, a service of Google LLC.

• Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing history.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ad Settings.
• You can opt out of many third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

For details on how Google handles data from sites using its services, see Google's partner-sites notice. Advertisers never receive the values you enter into our calculators, because those values never leave your browser.

7 How We Use Information #

The limited information described above is used to:

• Operate, maintain, and secure the Site
• Understand which calculators people need so we can improve and add tools
• Diagnose errors and improve page speed
• Display advertising that keeps the Site free
• Respond to messages you send us

We do not sell personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles of individual visitors ourselves.

8 Third-Party Services and Links #

We rely on a small number of third-party providers: our web host, Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and a form-delivery service for the contact form. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.

Pages on the Site may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies before providing information to them.

9 Data Retention and Security #

Server logs are retained for a short operational period and then discarded. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the entire Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10 Children's Privacy #

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11 Your Rights and Choices #

Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in the European Economic Area and the UK, and the CCPA in California — you may have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Request that it be corrected or deleted
• Object to or restrict how it is processed
• Withdraw consent for analytics or advertising cookies at any time
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email

12 Changes to This Policy #

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site evolves or as legal requirements change. Revisions are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and significant changes will be highlighted on the Site. Continuing to use QuickCalcify after a change means you accept the revised policy.
